In this interactive training, you'll learn how to make initial contact at the door and gain insight into your tenant's debt problems. You'll also learn how to handle resistance and how to use motivational interviewing as a technique.

Topics

The training will cover the following topics:

- various communication theories and techniques;

- recognizing and responding to reluctance, powerlessness or socially desirable behavior;

- consequences of debt and chronic stress and (conversation) techniques to deal with this;

- make genuine contact with the tenant;

- presentation skills;

- results-oriented preparation and conversation structure;

- motivational interviewing method;

- influence of language;

- safety;

- planning & reporting.

Form

The training consists of theory and practical exercises. To ensure the practice sessions are as closely aligned as possible with real-world situations, we use a training actor for role-playing. The training actor can model realistic behavior and interact with what they observe. The advantage is that you receive immediate, honest feedback on your skills and behavior.

Result

After completing this training:

- Are you able to make a home visit independently?

- You'll learn how to understand your tenants' debt problems and how to motivate them to resolve their debt. The goal of the training is to improve your debt collection results by making realistic payment agreements that are also honored in the long term.

Lecturer

The trainer is Roman Talman . Roman has extensive experience as a trainer, coach, and manager at various banks, insurance companies, and other institutions in the field of customer contact and accounts receivable management. He specializes in interpersonal communication in people-oriented organizational change.

Participation costs

The participation fee for the (two-day) Home Visit Training for Payment Arrears is €1,045 per participant, excluding VAT and parking costs, including coffee/tea, lunch and documentation folder.
